I wanted to capture all of the essential elements of 2010s pop-punk and put it into a small, physical zine meant for any audience. It is meant to be a time capsule of everything important about pop-punk in the 2010s. This subject is important to me because of how much this era of music positively impacted me during my formative years, and I wanted to share my interest with others in a physical form that is easy to carry around, similar to original punk zines.
I used a gritty, colorful collage style for this zine because I wanted to embrace the messiness of pop-punk as well as the energetic spirit behind it. This is also accomplished with the use of unique and "messy" fonts, which were carefully chosen in order to emulate the vibe of pop-punk while still being readable to the audience.
